“The Power Of Money”

Aren’t ATM’s wonderful?

At any time of the day or night, if you’re running low on cash, you just head on over to the nearest ATM. Pop your card in, push a few buttons, and like magic, chug-chug-chug: a fistful of 20’s spits out of that little slot.

Now imagine how much better your life would be if that machine never ran dry. You’d never face a denial of service. Never see an “AMOUNT REQUESTED EXCEEDS AVAILABLE FUNDS” message or something equally maddening. In fact, you wouldn’t be limited to $500 in withdrawals per day. Take as much as you want when you want it. Sound too good to be true? It’s not.

The difference between your ATM and my ATM is this…

You probably fill your ATM with 40 hours or so of hard work. I fill my ATM with thousands of hours of not-so-hard work. But you protest, “Wait a minute Larry. Who the heck are you trying to kid. There aren’t thousands of hours in a work week.” And you’re right. There aren’t that many hours in a week for one person to work.

But I don’t get paid to work in the usual sense. I get paid to manage other people’s work. I even get paid to manage money and let that work for me, earning me more money. And that’s why my ATM will never run dry.

Even if I stopped actively working, let’s say I took a month-long vacation to Europe, the systems I have in place would still generate an income for me. Can you take a month off from work and still have money coming in? Well that’s what I want for you.

Working a 9 to 5 job requires that you give 100% of your effort for a weekly paycheck. In other words, all of your effort (time and skills) goes into producing a certain result each week. That result is income. Works the same whether you work for yourself or someone else.

One person, 100% effort. Okay? Now what if the reverse were true? What if you had 100 people working for you and you took just 1% of their production as a commission, royalty, operating fee, management fee? Call it what you want. The bottom line is your effort would drop dramatically while your production would remain the same.

Let’s diagram it out. We’ll use $500 as a base weekly income.

Work for a weekly paycheck:
1 person (you) + 100% effort (from you) = $500 a week (for you)

Work on royalty basis:

100 people + 1% effort (from you) = $500 a week (for you)

See. Less effort, same money. Now what will happen if you put your effort into recruiting more people to work for you? Let’s see …

1,000 people + 1% effort (from you) = $5,000 a week (for you)

10,000 people + 1% effort (from you) = $50,000 a week (for you)

Notice that even though your effort level hasn’t increased at all, your earnings have exploded. Why? Because instead of working to earn money, you’re working to get others to earn money for you. That’s the smart way to use your effort (time and skills). That’s what smart money people do. This concept is at the heart of all network marketing programs.

Now let’s take the same concept (other people making money for you) and we’ll apply it to Internet marketing. There’s just one little dfference. Instead of multiple people making money for you this time around it’s multiple websites piling on the cash.

According to a study conducted by Carnegie Mellon University, there are only three reasons why people use the Internet: entertainment, education and communication. Not surprisingly, entertainment is the hands-down winner. What may surprise you is that among all three categories, the search for information was the primary motivator. Here’s a sample…

Where can I fly model airplanes?
How do I get to Level 70 in World of Warcraft?
What’s the best digital camera for my needs?
How can I improve my sex life?
How do I prepare for this job interview?
Where can I find those “hidden treasures” on my trip to Paris?
How can I make money working from home?

This begs the question: what do you know that others will find value in? What do you know that others will pay you good money to learn? Don’t sell yourself short. You are unique in all the world. No one else has had the exact same experiences you’ve had. If anyone has ever said, “you should write a book!” maybe you should. And sell it online.

But why stop with one book? If you can earn, say $1,000 a month, selling your grandma’s secret Cajun recipes on one website, you can earn $10,000 a month selling 10 different things on 10 different websites. Sooner or later it adds up to real money.

What if you’re a victim of amnesia and you can’t remember one thing that’s happened in your entire life? You have nothing to offer, no information to sell. That’s okay. Other people with stuff to sell will pay you to send them customers. Some will pay you just for sending them living, breathing bodies.

There’s an entire sub-culture out there in affiliate marketing land and there are people earning six-figure incomes doing nothing more than sending people to other people’s websites.

And the best part is that in this digital age, once you set everything up, your websites will run on autopilot. You don’t have to talk to anyone, sell anything or ask for the money. They push a few buttons, they get what they ordered and the money magically leaves their bank account and arrives in yours. If you’ve ever bought anything online, that’s pretty much how it works. Except now you can be on the receiving end of the cash.

Now think about the big picture: income from multiple people (network marketing), income from multiple websites (selling your products and services) and more income from multiple websites (as an affiliate selling other people’s products and services).

Even if you are only moderately successful, these multiple streams of income add up fast. Once you get comfortable you can drop the least profitable ventures and concentrate on the most profitable. Once you get efficient, producing even more profit making ventures becomes second nature.

Ask me for more details if earning from multiple sources appeals to you. In an upcoming email I’ll show you how to apply these same concepts to hard assets like precious metals and real estate. Keep your eyes open for that one.
